We host a number of community events throughout the year. Some of these are creative (making tote bags, painting), others are discussion based (talking about issues specific to our community, such as Asian parenting dynamics), and some are educational (with interesting guest speakers). All of them involve meaningful conversations and a chance to make new connections!
May - Custom Candle Making
Make custom candles with South Asian scents like jasmine, cardamom, and mango! A perfect way to get your home ready for summer. A special collaboration with KeraLondon Candle founder Anu Chandy.
Family Conflict Workshop
Conflict with South Asian parents: we could (and might) do a whole series on this, but let's start with the basics 👀 We'll discuss common triggers, repair techniques, and the ways in which our culture impacts conflict with family. We aim to empower participants with culturally sensitive resources to navigate conflict and family dynamics.
March / April: Book Swap
This month, our theme is "in bloom", and we're thinking about all the ways we can grow as spring approaches. One of our favourite ways to "bloom" is through reading and sharing our cultural, personal, meaningful stories.
February: Love is Friendship
Friendships can be so romantic. Just like with dating, they require trust, vulnerability, and emotional intimacy. This Valentine's Day, we want to celebrate the pyaar (love) in our dosti (friendship) and reflect on what platonic love means.
